Max number of Pushpins / Your suggestion?

I've read in a previous post that the maximum number of pushpins possible to import is 50.000. Could someone please confirm this is correct?
I'm working in an area in Sweden where a lot of adresses cannot be geocoded using MapPoint (street numbers are missing etc.). Therefor, I need to get coordinates for these adresses from other databases and then import these to MapPoint to be able to route to and from them.
I'm relatively new to MapPoint so I would appreciate Your opinion whether this sounds like a good or maybe really stupid idea!?! Maybe there's a smarter way?

Thanks!

When I've tried to import large address sets, Mappoint 2004 states that the maximum that can be mapped at a time is 10,000

Are you using the web service or the desktop version of MapPoint? I have created maps with more than 50,000 points using the desktop version of MapPoint 2004 (screen repainting is brutally slow, but it did work for me)

I've got up to 20,000 without any problems (a bit slow screen refreash as you said but provided you keep the information balloons hidden until they are needed its not too bad)

I was able to plot a single dataset containing 154,950 records as a pushpin map, multiple symbol map and shaded area map. I matched records by latitude and longitude and had no problems. It is takes a little time (especially on a screen refresh if you create a pushpin map!) but it is possible. I am using MapPoint 2002. The 10,000 limit comes up if you match by street address.
