Hi guys. I'm new to this forum, and was hoping you could help. Can you tell me how I can either totally hide or lightly grey out Canada and Mexico on my map? Also, is there a way to overlay a shaded map with push pins? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks! :)

LLLGOTCHA,

Welcome to the forums! I hope I can help.

Yes, both are possible and fairly easy.

#1. Draw a polygon over Mexico and Canada and change the fill to White. It shouldn't be too hard to trace a rough boundary for Canada, to do Mexico would be some more work as the boundary is more jagged. There is a pre-made template for this (along with a ton of other useful tools for MapPoint) in the Downloads section -- http://www.mapforums.com/map-us-48-states-only-10178.html ($99)

For #2. This is easy, just import two datasets, set one to a Shaded Area map and the other to a Multiple Symbol or Pushpin map type. Check the Tutorials in the help file, I will look myself later.

Hope this helps, let us know how it goes!

Eric
