India?

Does anyone know whether an India map dataset is in the plans, near- or far-term, for the MapPoint Web Service?

Only MS would know, but I have not heard any rumors.

Do you know if it is possible to buy street data from a GIS/mapping data vendor for India? It is usually when such data becomes available from a mainstream data vendor such as Navteq, TeleAtlas, or GDT that is would start to become a possibility.
