An error occurred with MapPoint Location Server - HELP ME!

Hi,

I am trying to get MLS up and running but I now get the following problem:
When I run the Mobile Locator for PC and try to find a place or something the application returns a messagebox saying: "An error occurred with MapPoint Location Server". When I look in the eventviewer's application log it says: "The underlying connection was closed: could not establish trust relationship with remote server".

Does anyone have an idea what's wrong? I use a single computer deployment and for as far as I know I did all the SSL certification stuff correctly. Any hints?

Hey.

You may have an issue if you are using your own CA , rather than Verisign or Thawte.

Second, you need 128 bit , High Encryption installed.

Review the checklist in the documentation from Microsoft.

Check your Firewall for anything that might stop transactions.

I think I've done everything correctly, I got 128 bit encryption. I also checked everything according to the manual. Only thing what might be the problem is the firewall issue you mentioned. But how do I check that??

I don't have much knowledge of firewall stuff.......

Well i would say that you may need to find someone who is a firewall expert and have them take a look at your architecture.

It isn't something that can be easily taked through over this message board.
