Mappoint help

Hi,

I'm a student and I'm trying to write a very basic Mappoint Web Services application. I basically have an Access database where individual peoples x and y co-ordinates are stored, all I want to do is have a web page where when a user clicks on a specific link for one of the users (database is displayed on the webpage using ASP) a popup window containing a map and a single labelled pushpin highlighting the location of that users x and y co-ordinate is displayed (perhaps with the map centred on the pushpin).

I have already programmed the ASP required to do the database extraction including the ODBC work, and signed up for a Mappoint web services trial, but how do I write the mappoint stuff? has anyone implemented something like this before, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Wayne

Wayne,

You should start by taking a look at the MapPoint SDK. There's a link to download it at http://www.microsoft.com/mappoint/webservice/default.mspx

In particular, you will problably want to look at the GetMap method.
