Mileage Chart

I am currenlty looking to to create a mileage chart for 1 location in northern California. Is there a way that MapPoint can determine mileage from a centerpoint (Fremont, California) to all surrounding cities within a 100 mile radius?

Current method is to choose the city I am starting from (Fremont) and typing in all the cities surrounding Fremont to determine miles. As you might have guessed it is not very efficiant, and I am looking for a better way to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Current Version of MapPoint is 2004
I have city information in Excel spread sheet (text)
If it will help I can obtain city Zip codes (numeric). I have seen a few places on these Forums that MP does not like text strings.

P.S. If there is a MapPoint plugin or script that handles this and was posted on this forum and I missed it, I appologize.

Thanks in Advance,

This can be coded in pretty short order as an Excel VBA macro..

If you're willing to publish the results as an article for this magazine, I'd be willing to offer some assistance.

Send me a private message if you're interested.

Thanks,
Eric

I have 220 stores with 25 District Managers and would like to create a mileage chart with mileage from any one point to any other, kind of like you see on the top of the maps, the grid with 5 or 6 cities, except I have 245 different places. I have Street Atlas USA Plus and it is no help. I can mapquest.com it for free if I had 2 years. There has to be a better way.

hehe, yeah MapPoint is pretty nice in that you can automate map calculations easily.. note that I've automated StreetAtlas with WinBatch, it can work.
