Can I turn off the "show information" feature for a SET of pushpins, rather than one by one? Currently I go to each pushpin, right click and select show information to turn it on/off.

There is no feature in the interface for this, and no single automation method either. As a result, you either need to manually do this through the application UI, or via automation by stepping though the entire pushpin set.
