Tracking Via GPS

Hello All,

Firstly I'd like to say that this is an excellent site. Full of the information that Microsoft is lacking.......... which leads to my question.

I have 15 advisers who I would like to see their location on a map during the day; I have a call centre that issues meetings to these guys and I would want to see who was closest in the given area etc.

These guys will all have a IPAQ Pocket based device with GPS device, they transmit data using a Mobile phone via bluetooth using GPRS.

Basically I want to see 15 dots on a map that move around as they move, can this be done out of the box?

Thanks keep up the good work.

MKelly,

Microsoft's own technology for this is called "MapPoint Location Server", we have a special issue on this web service in the newsletter archives:

You'd have to check with MS for a list of their current partners, but I understand they work with Sprint Bell Canada.
