plotting pushpin limitations

My company is trying to develop a program that will various data points on a mappoint webservice map.
I am told by my programmer that only 100 pushpins can be mapped at a time.
Is that true?

Yes, your programmer is correct.

You can do some client-side drawing of objects using the GDI+ classes, take a look at http://demo.mappoint.net, I think there's an example there.
