Hello, I'm a year-old MapPoint user, but I haven't really ever achieved mastery with the thing because we have had a very specific use for it and haven't broken it out. Now, I'm trying to (hopefully quickly) generate maps like this:
Each top client has two maps (there are about forty top clients)
-Residential
*~Fifteen related mapped addresses
-Business
*~fifteen related mapped addresses
So, hopefully by the end of today, I'll have produced 80 or so maps that have 15 addresses on them each, all with little balloons showing the data for that entry.
The problem described in Italics below is resolved. I have a new one that isn't resolved right below that!
So I map the data normally, and two things are giving me trouble. First, only three of the addresses are mapping. I have no idea why this is happening, and when I check the data set properties, I see that it says
"
Number of records: 13
Number matched to the map: 13"
However, my map only has three pushpins on it. Anyone have any hints?
^I've now solved the above problem, see below
UPDATE:
What I've found is that there's simply a problem with businesses on a newer road that I've mapped. However, now I'm having a problem with the total usefulness of my maps, as some of my residential maps occur in areas as small as a tenth or even twentieth of a mile. What I'd really like to do is have bubbles on each pushpin on the map, but currently my pins are too close together for this, and I can't zoom in any further. Anyone have ideas?
Thanks!
-Jake
