Disable "Export to Excel"

I am trying to understand if there is a way to keep data "private" within MapPoint 2004. Can i distribute a set of pushpin data to users without giving them the ability to export this data to Excel or other formats? Can I programatically disable that feature?

This query of Craig's comes from a couple of emails we've had.

Craig: I'm about to reply to your last email. Some export mechanisms can be disabled via add-in programming, but all the user has to do is to disable the add-in or use one of the other mechanisms.
