Being new to MapPoint, this might be straightforward but could someone tell me if it is possible to hide the city names in the maps. I just want to show data driven maos and the city names are distacting
Many thanks,

About the best you can do is to use the smallest size font setting. This will make the smaller city names disappear, and make the larger city names less obvious.
The roads can also be switched off - which I assume you're doing.

Hi,
you can also make a arial font that is empty.
I mean that mappoint draws the caption, but you can't see it because your font isn't visible. I did this with font font creator from high logic.
The problem is you have to copy the manipulated font bevor you want to work. And after work you have to copy the original font back, otherwise in many programs you can't see anything.

Wilfried, Adriano is talking about physically changing the system Arial font.
Therefore whenever Arial is used (eg. in an application, on a website, etc) it uses the modified version.
If the font is modified to be blank, then the writing on the maps will be blank.
BUT it will also be blank in all the other places it is used.
Personally I don't like the solution, but it might be a useful workaround for a presentation map perhaps.
