Save map as image

I know through VB .net and the mappoint control that I can save a map as a .ptm file or as a web page but is there any way I can save the map just as an image. I know I can save a webpage and then strip out the image file that was created but this isn't ideal, is there anyway I can just save as an image.

Eventually you can copy the map to clipboard and the same the clipboard as an image file.
