Computers and Structures, Inc. (CSI) is pleased to announce the availability of Bridge version 20.2.0, is specialized analysis and design software tailored for the engineering of bridge systems.

CSiBridge 20.2.0 Enhancements:

Bridge Modeler
- The quick bridge template has been expanded to allow defining a more complete model, including substructure, superstructure, loading, and design criteria
- Bridge deck section superstructure loads provide the ability to easily model barrier, median, sidewalk, haunch, construction, and wearing surface loads
- User specified diaphragm depths can now be specified for precast I-girder and concrete tee bridges
- Automated prestress tendon generation based on tendon layouts defined in precast I-girder frame section properties
- Dynamic collapse analysis allows an object to be removed during a nonlinear direction integration time history analysis
Bridge Design
- Bridge superstructure design has been added according to the AASHTO LRFD 2017 8th Edition code
- Load rating of steel U-girder composite bridges has been added according to the AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation 2nd Edition
- Load rating of steel U-girder composite bridges has been added according to the CAN/CSA-S6-14 code

About CSiBridge. Modeling, analysis and design of bridge structures have been integrated into CSiBridge to create the ultimate in computerized engineering tools. Using CSiBridge, engineers can easily define complex bridge geometries, boundary conditions and load cases. The bridge models are defined parametrically, using terms that are familiar to bridge engineers such as layout lines, spans, bearings, abutments, bents, hinges and post-tensioning. The software creates spine, shell or solid object models that update automatically as the bridge definition parameters are changed.

CSiBridge design allows for quick and easy design and retrofitting of steel and concrete bridges. The parametric modeler allows the user to build simple or complex bridge models and to make changes efficiently while maintaining total control over the design process. Lanes and vehicles can be defined quickly and include width effects. Simple and practical Gantt charts are available to simulate modeling of construction sequences and scheduling.
