Making Maps Uneditable?

I need to know of a way other than exporting to HTML to lock the map from being changed. I have the permissions set on the folder and the files but they can still open read-only and makes changes and save elsewhere. Thanks

Do you mean in the mappoint.exe application ? Or in your own application that make use of the mappoint control ? If the latter, then please detail.

I mean in the standpoint of making the map when you open not editable. MEaning when ever you open the map in mappoint they cant change the directions of add anything to the route etc. Just view it.
