Can I purchase a trial version of MapPoint 2006?
MapPoint 2006TFB 04-24-2006, 12:57 PM Can I purchase a trial version of MapPoint 2006? Eric Frost 04-24-2006, 03:14 PM Not yet from what I know. Maybe in a few weeks (the NA version anyway). I am still waiting for over a month now to get some MapPoint 2004 trials in stock. My contact at MS has not responded to my most recent e-mail from a few days ago. Eric TFB 04-24-2006, 04:27 PM In other words: If I ordered MapPoint 2004 Trial, it's not even in stock? I've never used MapPoint and I don't want to get stuck with something that may not work so well in a rual mountain community. Eric, perhaps you can answer some of my major concerns are: 1. Will I be able to override the routes given by MapPoint (considering it gives an INEFFECIENT ROUTE that must be corrected)? 2. In case it doesn't accurately LOCATE particular DESTINATIONS, can I correct it manually? 3. And, if so: Will MapPoint SAVE the manually corrected routes when given the same directions in the again future? Mike Eric Frost 04-25-2006, 09:18 AM The book MapPoint for Dummies includes MapPoint 2002 trial CD's, I have those in stock. Yes, yes, and no.. actually you can put in "Avoidance polygons", it's a little work but it would do let you override force routes to go where you want and it can be saved into the default map template.
