Hi all,
just installed Mappoint 2006. In some big cities (Rome, Milan, Paris,...) even if I "uncheck all" places I cannot get rid of restaurants green icons. I cannot understand as this happen only in some cities as mentioned above while for others like London for example it is not the case. I was not able to find a solution. Anybody can help? Thanks a lot

I understood issue is not solved and this is really bad as restaurants icons appears on printing too making the software unusable for my purposes.

Hi,
I know. That was also the case in MP2004. But you have to eat otherwise you will die :) MapPoint remember you to eat !

In MP Europe 2004 it was "Parking/P&R" symbols that couldn't be hidden - for example around 70 of these inside the Paris Péripherique and around 15 in central London. In MP 2006 there are around 150-200 restaurant symbols in Central London that can't be hidden and probably approaching a 1000 inside the Péripherique. This means that a 'clean' map of Central Paris is little more than a green splodge in the version of MP 2006 I'm using. It's a much more serious issue in 2006 than 2004 if you want clear maps. As for keeping you fed, as you zoom in MP even names them all for you, and I'm yet to see any of my favourites.
