View Full Version : Mining MapPoint for lists of boundries

Hi All...I am new to MapPoint and was curious to know if there is a way to mine MapPoint for lists of boundries. I would like to create an excel spreadsheet that will give me a list of zip codes and counties for the entire U.S. I am trying to create territories by zip code and it is difficult to define them when I only have counties to work with. So, if there is a way for me to link the two via MapPoint through an "export to excel" action - i.e. creating a list of counties that will reference each county's group of zip codes - I'd love to learn how to do so.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated,

Note that there's overlap.. a zip code might be 30% in one county and 70% in another.

Your best bet is probably to purchase a zip code list from a third-party vendor -- zip code list (http://www.google.com/search?q=zip+code+list)

Although there won't be a 1 to 1 correspondence with the zip codes in MapPoint, hopefully it will be close enough.
