Runtime Licenses/ActiveX

Was wondering if anyone could explain basically how the Mappoint 2006 runtime license is applied? That is, if we build our windows application with MP 2006 and activex and get a runtime license, what exactly goes on the user's machine?....botton line: does the entire Mappoint application still need to reside on the machine with our application...?

I never tryed it. Normalle I just run the original setup, so customar has my application and also mappoint just in case he need it or like it to use for someting.
