Distance calculation time (MP 2006) - HELP

After starting Mappoint 2006, distance catculation from :
from 47,75000°N 7,33333°E (as starting point near Mulhouse, France)
to 43,26667°N 2,95000°E (as arrival point near Narbonne, France)
is very quick (approx 1 sec).

If, after starting Mappoint 2006, distance catculation from :
from 43,26667°N 2,95000°E (as starting rival point near Narbonne, France)
to 47,75000°N 7,33333°E (as arrival point near Mulhouse, France)
is very long (approx 3 mins).

Who can help ???

I did this in MP 2004 with no delays.
If you used code, what language? - post the code.

I tryed in both 2004 and 2006. 2004 was no delay at all, and 2006 did take 2 minutes on my machine. Very strange this big difference.

Thank you for responses. That's true that 2004 is working fine.
An issue has been raised to Microdoft who answered Friday night as :
"it looks like a bug ... Use as it is" and "will normally be sorted out in the next release !"
