I just noticed this MapPoint Web Service Helper on CodePlex that looks interesting -- MapPoint Web Service Helper (http://www.mp2kmag.com/news212--MapPoint_Web_Service_Helper.html)

-- Goal was to develop an easy-to-use interface to the MapPoint Web Service.
-- Many parameters provided by the MapPoint Web service are hidden.
-- The returns from one method can feed the next method.
-- Separate dll’s exist for developing applications for a Windows project or a Pocket PC project.
