Get CenterPoint of a Route Map

I have a map that displays a route with say 5 locations which displays fine, but I do not get a centerPoint value because the view is ViewByBoundingRectangle which does not have a center lat/long.

ConvertToLatLong seems to required a valid Lat/long in the view object.

So how do I get the centerPoint Lat/Long in this situation??
