Man Chris you are one brilliant dude. I noticed on certain addresses the algoritm seems to hang, can you explain what might cause that to happen? Thanks.

You might try the code in Gilles follow-up article and see if the same happens, the article is dated a few weeks later.

There is a flaw with the fact that degrees of longitude is constant. While it is true that distance latitudes is constant it not constant for longitude. Lines of longitude emit from the poles and therefore the distance between lines of latitude at the poles is very close. At the equator the distance is extreamly greater than the poles.
