Addin failded to load

Hello,
I'm developping a add-in for mappoint 2006 using VB6. I use the procedure descibe in Create COM add-ins in Visual Basic (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa723428.aspx). In most of Pc eveything is running fine but for some PC, mappoint crashed when I tried to load the add-In via the COM Add-In ... tools.
Can someone help me ?

Operating system?
Code lines that gave error?

There is no error message, nonthing in the event viewer. Everything is working fine on windows 2000 & vista. Cashed occured on windows xp. The error are not in the code of the application but the error occured when I try to load (register) the addin in MapPoint. I'm suspecting some missing dll.

That is difficult to diagnose.

Is it possible that you're referencing MapPoint 2006 and the _last used_
version of MapPoint on the machines with errors is MapPoint 2004?
(That is, there are two versions on the machine, but 2004 was opened last?)
