How do you keep the optimized order when exporting a waypoint list into Excel?
Export in optimized order (Map Point 2006)brandonw005 10-24-2007, 01:06 PM How do you keep the optimized order when exporting a waypoint list into Excel? Mattys Consulting 10-24-2007, 02:17 PM I believe that can be done programmatically. What have you tried? I'm pretty sure there are tools by Eric Frost, Gilles Kohl, and Winwaed Software to do this. brandonw005 10-24-2007, 02:25 PM I haven't tried anything beyond the normal capabilities of the program. My technical knowledge is a bit elementary; I was hoping for an "easy" solution. I'm not sure why Microsoft wouldn't make this ability part of the standard program. My company and I utilize this program to route 35 employees to over 5000 customer locations, making it unfeasible to manually sequense the exported routes. Also, each of the 35 routes changes every month so I need a solution that is easy for our staff to implement each time our waypoint list is updated. I heard rumors that there was a "patch" we could download that would keep the optimized order of stops for each of the routes. Mattys Consulting 10-24-2007, 05:49 PM Hi Brandon, Nope, no patch. If you go to my website and download the Ordered Stops Routing Demo, we can work on it for your company together.
