using mappoint in c#

I am trying to make a C# application using MapPoint. It will be a desktop application, not a web based application.

I could not find any links to download the actual SDK.
Where do you download it from?

Desktop MapPoint comes with a COM interface - that is the SDK as it were. Documentation is in the help file that comes with MapPoint - it is actually pretty good documentation, and 2006 even includes some C# examples (as well as the older VB6 examples).

I would also recommend Chandu Thota's "Programming MapPoint .NET".
True, the middle (and largest) section is for the first webservice, but the first section about desktop MapPoint is very informative and uses C#.
