Help with scheduled stops

Hi All

I am plotting routes using the planner. I am doing comparisons between optimised routes. I need for some stops to be scheduled on the route.
If the actual arrival time is less than the scheduled arrival time i want the route to put in slack time for example

Scheduled arrival time = 14:00
Actual arrival time = 13:00

The driver will arrive at 13:00 and wait for 60 mins make his stop and then resume the route.

Is this possible in any way?

Hi Antony,

You have to do this with custom programming. I don't think you can do this with the standard executable. Another way is maybe to export the calculated route to excel and do the comparison between the real route and the calculated in excel.

Hi

I think it could be done through .NET. I have experience using VBA, mainly in excel. I have created formulas in excel to do it but its not very flexible. I thought there may be a way to program a COM add in to enter parameter constraints.
If you have any ideas please let me know.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi,

If you have experience in VBA then you could do it in Excel using custom programming using the object model of mappoint.

I will give that a shot.

Thanks
