RouteWriter v2 has just been released. This includes a new add-in called "RouteReader". RouteReader allows you to create a MapPoint route from existing pushpins, using a re-defined order. Ie. the opposite operation of RouteWriter.

The order is defined using a pushpin field. The field can be text or numeric, and the order can be ascending or descending. Typically these pins are read into MapPoint using the Data Import Wizard, in which case the order can be defined as a new column - eg. "Sequence Number"

RouteWriter continues to have the original RouteWriter functionality. This allows you to export a route's waypoints and matching pushpins to Excel, whilst preserving their route order.

The single license price for RouteWriter v2 is US$75, with discounts for purchases of five or licenses.

v2.3 has just been released.
This adds the 'group' function to RouteReader, enabling a route to be created from an ordered sub-group of pushpins within a pushpin set.

v2.3 also fixes a number of minor problems including better DEP support, and has been tested with MapPoint 2009.
