User selected custom pushpin

does anyone know of a reference or the capability of MP/VE to allow a developer to empower a user to select from a "set" of custom pushpins (icons) and utilize in VE map view? I have seen several references to adding custom pushpins via geoRSS or routing but I am interested in an onclick even issued by the user.

Not that I am aware of, but you should be able to use a 'theme' type of control- create a themes folder and then a subfolder for each 'set'. And then use a button whatever to change the prefix of the custom icon url based on the user's selection
