Information Partners allows free download of Virtual Earth powered desktop application
Microsoft partner, Information Patterns, is allowing free download of its Toucan Navigate 2007, a Virtual Earth powered desktop application, from its web site. Toucan Navigate is a unique light client application that allows users to easily layer and visualize spreadsheets, GPS files, and GIS data--including ESRI vector shape files--on a Virtual Earth map. The ESRI compatibility allows GIS data created through ESRI tools to be broadly disseminated without the need for multiple copies of those applications for users who don't need creation capabilities.
