Adding streets to a map

I am working on navigation software for emergency responders. It requires very accurate maps, since people's lived depend on the accuracy.

I know in MapPoint 2002 you can not add streets. Does anyone know if this will be in future MapPoint products?

Also, how often does Microsoft update it's maps? If we provide feedback will we get an updated map, sometime in the future, when we update road construction...

Maps are generally updated annually with new releases of MapPoint.. though it sounds like we're waiting another 3-6 mos. for MapPoint 2003, we'll see.

I don't know if you'll be able to edit/add streets directly in any future releases of MapPoint.
