Hi All,
Im working with a linked dataset ( Programmatically, I provide mappoint a udl file on LinkData, which specifies a view in my sql server database and my data gets mapped properly). When users access the dataset context menu from the legend and overview pane, they have the option to "Update Now" , when users select "Update Now" mappoint always displays a warning dialog : "Updating the linked data will cause the source file to be saved if it is open. Do you want to continue?" Selecting yes updates the dataset, but I am somewhat puzzled as to what is being saved ( if anything) ??
Documentation states that:
"If a linked Excel spread sheet is open and the data is changed, a call to the method LinkUpdate will save the changes without a warning.", for the UpdateLink method. Does this only apply to source data from excel?
Also, when I call update link programmatically I dont see the mappoint warning dialog.
