I am brand new to this, I have trial version of map point, What I want to do is create a map of store locations for each of the customers I have. Then create maps of potential customer store locations, overlay the potential map over the exhixting customer maps to see where the pushpins will group so I would know what locations are saturated the most.
This would tell me what location to hire my next person.
Is this possible and how do I test it so I know if buying the software is worth it??
I did try reading posts but not sure if any are what I am looking to do.
Thanks Bob

Do you want to break it down and start with simple steps?
Do you have a list of store locations or customer's with addresses? This can be imported into MapPoint and each location can be depicted as "Pushpins".

I do have lists of locations for each customer and I can transfer them to a map in pushpins, then save a map file with each customer's locations with pins. What I want to do is at any time pick a map open it then overlay another customers map on top to see the overlay of the 2. then maybe switch to another customer and so on. or even add 5 customer map locations on top of one another to see the grouping.
Thanks for the help I hope I am asking the question clear enough.

Hi Robert,
MapPoint allows you to import datasets, so if you had five tabs in a
spreadsheet that each represent a dataset then you'd be able to link
to them.
You would simply add as many datasets at once as befitting your analysis
and any additions or deletions from aone of your spreadsheet tabs would
be picked up when you press Update Linked Data.

I think I understand, I will play with it some more.
Thanks so much.
