MS Access import and export

I have an access application used to schedule employees work routes. I need to determine the distance being travelled between work locations and then bring this figure back into access.

Is this a possibility: importing a list of postcodes to mappoint and exporting a sum distance back into access?

thanks for any and all advice

That may take some programming- not my area of expertise with MP or VE

In stand alone mode, you can import those locations from Access. You can create a route and optimize between those locations. The guide will have a breakdown of distances each leg of the route. Just need to get that back to Acccess somehow

you could go centroid on the zip polygon - then differentiate as two points on a sphere using lat/lon (formula is in many posts on this forum).

Would be better to geocode the start and destination address then work with those lat/lon's.
