Determine Time Zone from Address/LocationEricS 03-25-2008, 11:57 AM Is there a way to determine the time zone a particular address or location is in? Thanks for any help. Eric Frost 03-25-2008, 12:01 PM Are you using the MapPoint Web Service or Virtual Earth or MapPoint 2006? EricS 03-25-2008, 01:24 PM We are using MapPoint Web Service. Eric Frost 03-25-2008, 03:09 PM From this posting: 2005 September FANTOM PLANET (http://fantomplanet.wordpress.com/2005/09/) It looks like Chandu was saying that it's included starting with version 4.0, but I couldn't find a reference.. Find-related Enhancements Extended match properties can help detect addresses much more accurately than earlier Score numbers and time-zone information Let us know what you find out. Eric Eric Frost 03-25-2008, 03:30 PM I don't see anything about it in the FAQ or Fact Sheet for 4.0, so I am thinking he might have been mistaken... :v5v: What's New at MP2K Magazine (http://www.mp2kmag.com/update/mappoint.newsletter/2005-10-18/#articles_sec) Eric EricS 03-25-2008, 06:13 PM I searched through the MapPoint Web Service SDK and can't find anything about time zones. Web searches didn't turn up anything except some other products that let you look up time zones in various ways from geographic data. It's one of those things that seems like it should be in MPWS. | ||
