I've searched FAQ's and this forum.
I have imported 600 companies into MapPoint 2004.
I manually created territories (using census tract).
Now, I want to export those companies and see what territory they are in.
Preferably using excel.
It seams MapPoint 2004 cannot do this.
Am I correct?
Thank you,

MapPoint doesn't have that function. :taz:
It can be done programmatically.

Thanks Mike,
Am I missing something here? It seems like importing hundreds of customers, then making territories...
Logic would say that I would want to reference the territories with the customer data.
Does MapPoint 2004 have a feature that would serve this purpose?
Sorry if this question is basic.

The other folks may have a better answer ...
MapPoint seems to work strictly by the data you put in.
Apparently, it is assumed that a territory has already been assigned to
each of your companies in your own managed database.

Mike,
I thought your answer was fine.
I think a mapping software should help me assign geographic territories to my customer data.
I think it's logical to be able to import 600 records, layout my territories, and then export the results with the territory information.
So I can give the customer data back to my salesforce.
Thank you for trying to help me.

OK, but I can manage your territories, do analysis and reporting, provide
excellent graphics ... just thought I'd offer :)
