Free Demographic Data

Hi all -

I am a newbiew to MapPoint
Using trial ersion of 2006 befre I decide to buy

Much of the demographic data that came with the trial seems several years old

Does ayone know of free updates that may be available?
I sent email to Microsoft and they stated to updates to demographics or road maps.

I am in a rapidly expanding area in Maricopa County, Arizona and need some up-to-date information.

Strangely, Microsoft is right :-)

Also the api/etc do not allow road and indexing data to be updated. You could import your own demographic data if you found it (eg. from the US Census bureau or one of the various marketing organizations).

If you wish to update the road data, then some people have had some success mixing Streets & Trips road data with MapPoint. Search this site of the MapPoint newgroup to find some pointers to doing this. Needless to say, such a combination will not be supported by Microsoft.
