DriveMILE Zones

I need to create driveMILE zones (as opposed to drivetime zones). Our drivers are allowed to drive 500 miles per day. I need to represent that area on a map. The radius function draws the distance "as the crow flies," so that won't do. I read some other posts that tell you to set the driver profile speed to 60 mph and use 1 minute = 1 hour. I am using MapPoint 2006, but cannot find where to change the driver profile. I do not care whether it is relaistic for someone to drive 60mph in a downtown area. I just need a driveMILE zone to show where the 500-driving-mile -imits are.

I am not a programmer, so I am looking to make the change in the driver profile in one of the drop down menus. Am I looking in the right place?

If anyone can program this similar to how the MileCharter add-in was created a few years ago, that would be great.

Thanks
EK

Paul Larson wrote the Drive Speed add-in to circumvent this step backwards in MapPoint 2006.
The use of sliders and not explicit road speeds is definitely a step backwards - the last few versions of Streets & Trips are also saddled with the same problem but unfortunately this cannot be fixed by a third party.

Anyway, the add-in is freeware and we have the download on our site:
