Hello, were looking at the possibility of limiting ones view in Map Point. For example if I would like to only look at one state, and all other states be unavailable, is that something that can be done? I heard it was'nt possible but I wanted to ask other sources aswell.

Hey, Homes :cheers2:
I think Eric Frost's creation could help you:
Single State Mapper: Display Individual States in Microsoft® MapPoint® (http://www.mapping-tools.com/single_state_mapper/index.shtml)

It's not perfect though.. it cuts off labels and it's not good for user interaction.
But I think it's the best you can do with MapPoint.
Download the sample states and play with it to see if it suits your needs.

I downloaded the Nevada example that's there. It seems fine but I can still search through the eastern states? Is that something that can be changed in the full version of the software?

Hi Homes :54v:
No unfortunately what you see is the only functionality.. it's not good for user interaction and it's not software, just a template with a bunch of shapes to cover up states with a white polygon..
With some custom development work, you could program an interface to wrap around MapPoint that might do what you want.. it would be your own custom Visual Basic or VB.NET (or other) program that would expose your own desired ideal interface and automate MapPoint programmatically.. in thus a fashion you could restrict states.
