Where can I obtain the world country / state list as used in the world map in Mappoint 2002?

Or can this list be extracted from the mappoint 2002 world map?

In Mappoint 2004 there's an enumeration called "geoCountry" and in the help-file you find all the translations of the numbers to the names,
e.g. geoCountryFrance = 84 = France

Perhaps this helps.
