I am calling mappoint (2006) from a C++ project in Visual Studio 2008. Occassionally the COM reference to Interop.Mappoint.8.3 disappears from the reference properties and when I select "Add New Reference" to put it back, it is no longer in the list of COM items. If I reinstall Mappoint, everything is OK again (for a while).

Anyway, is there an easier way to Interop.Mappoint.8.3 reregistered (or a way to keep this from happening?

This looks like something is messing with your registry. Are you sure the machine is clean from virus / malware / and other bad things?
