Snap to Road Feature duplicated
How do I programmatically (in VB) duplicate this Snap feature: Using MapPoint 2004, I right click on the map and select Route then Add Stop. I intentionally place the point near a road but not on it. Then I select that point and drag it a little bit in any direction, and it Snaps to the nearest road! Can I do this programmatically, if so, how?

Hi,

I cannot find any function to do that. If nobody knows you can eventually do a workaround by first select the waypoint and then syntesize mouse position, button and move yourself win win32 API call SendInput. However it is possible not a very nice solution..

Hi,

I cannot give you example right now for 2 reason:
- I have not a direct example to copy/paste
- I cannot code it in minutes

It is stuff I did a few times but not often, so I have to seek in the win32 API to check about syntax and parameters. Please do so also. If you dont find or nobody responce then I will try to help you further out.
