Solid lines for State Borders - Possible ?

I have looked through all the Map Types and the Map Settings to no avail.
Most maps of the US with states have solid, distinct State borders but MapPoint - surprisingly - uses a sort of hazy line with tiny dots in it.

Is there a way to change the borders to simple, solid lines ? Thanks

You'll need the shapefiles for the states and then use a utility like Winwaed software's MPSupershape to import the shapes.

    Yes that will do it.
The beta version will also put selected shapes at different Z levels (eg. push all shapes behind roads).

The readson MapPoint draws the borders like this is because it is mapping the world (or North America). Therefore it has to support everything from zip code boundaries and census tract boundaries all the way up to national boundaries.
