| Style Property Problems I have an interesting problem with most the MapOptions.Style property. Here's a list of all the styles available through the Style enumeration: ================ Default *** Climate Comprehensive EarthByDay EarthByNight Ecoregions Languages Locator LocatorBW Outline Parks PhysicalFeatures Political *** PoliticalBW *** PopulationDensity PrecipitationAnnual PrecipitationJanuary PrecipitationJuly Religions Road *** RoadBW *** Small *** SmallBW *** Tectonic TemperatureJanuary TemperatureJuly Terrain *** TerrainBW *** TimeZones ================ In my case, only those styles you see denoted with a "***" suffix actually work. The others give an error when I try to use them. So, that means, of 28 available styles, 9 of them, or less than a third, actually work for me. So, my question(s) is/are: (1.) Is this simply a phenomenon of being on my evaluation version? In other words, will these styles work once I "pay up" for the real thing? (2.) Is this a regional thing? Like, the styles that aren't working, maybe they work in a different part of the world? (3.) Are these styles that don't work basically on a "to do" list at Microsoft? Like, they *plan* on implementing all of them, but so far have only gotten around to 9? I'm starting to demonstrate MapPoint within my company, and I'm having a hard time explaining why 70% of the map styles in the drop-down list in my ASP.NET app don't work. Folks get pretty excited when they see the list, but are pretty disappointed pretty quickly. Thanks for any help on this. |

Hello, The mapstyles available are dependent on the data source that you are using. From you list that you say are working I'd say you are using either the MapPoint.NA, MapPoint.EU, or MapPoint.BR data sources (although I believe that all have 12 map styles available not 9). The other map styles are only available when you are using the MapPoint.World data source. Steven Pushee This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
