Sync display and program?

My program, written in C# using the ActiveX Control, adds pushpins to the map faster than MapPoint can display them. Instead of seeing a series of pushpins get added to the map, I see an empty map (no road names or pushpins, etc) flashing, then 15 or 20 pushpins and the road names appear, then back to the empty map, flashing, then 15 or 20 more pushpins appear with the road names. Etc.

Is there a way to synchronously wait for MapPoint to finish updating the
map? This maybe the opposite of what some people want, but I want to see every discrete update to the map.

Hi Mark,

With a little trick anything is possible As far as I can see there is no event fired. But there is an interesting one: OnSelectionChanged. So if you put a pushpin on the map, then select it. I assume that OnSelectionChanged is fired "after" the pushpin is drawed. In That event you put the next pushpin.

However there may be a problem depending on how they fire these events. I'm thinking on a stack overflow, but nevertheless there is also a trick for. I suggest you try this one first

I just realize I never seen this behaviour in a program of me that uses the object model, there nothing is updated untill the loop finish. However the user see nothing happening, so this is in some case not very nice also.
