SAN FRANCISCO - Oct. 25, 2004

Leading Companies in Wireless, Internet and Emergency Services Count on the Accuracy and Reliability of Tele Atlas Data

Tele Atlas, a worldwide leading provider of digital map data and location content, is delivering mapping data to drive the top Internet portals and other important consumer services. Among the leading portals and travel sites using Tele Atlas content are MapQuest, Yahoo!, MapPoint and Switchboard. Top wireless companies, including Verizon, Cingular, ATTWS and NEXTEL have also launched applications that utilize Tele Atlas data. Additionally, critical consumer services, including E911 and overnight delivery services delivered by Intrado and TCS use Tele Atlas mapping data.

Tele Atlas delivers highly accurate turn-by-turn location content and dynamic content such as real-time traffic and speed and flow information. Tele Atlas data offers the accuracy and reliability needed to deliver compelling services when it really matters, as demonstrated by the E911 companies and services that turn to Tele Atlas for their map and location data needs.

"The number of mission critical services, such as E911, using Tele Atlas data to meet the growing demand of emergency first responders validates the accuracy and reliability Tele Atlas delivers," said Joseph J. Berry, vice president of GIS and LBS for Tele Atlas North America. "This is a testament to consumer services that when it really matters, people choose Tele Atlas."

As wireless data usage continues to increase, Internet and travel portals, as well as wireless application developers and operators, rely on Tele Atlas location content to deploy personally relevant services and applications consumers are demanding.

"Research continues to indicate that relevant location information will be a key component to continued growth for companies working in the Internet and wireless industries," said David Nevin, executive director of Consumer Wireless for Tele Atlas North America. "As a leading location content aggregator, Tele Atlas is committed to providing the content that will drive consumer use and adoption of Internet and wireless location-based services."

Internet solutions and LBS applications that are leveraging Tele Atlas location content will be on display at Tele Atlas' booth #253 during CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment in San Francisco, October 25-27, 2004.
