Testing GPS - plz help me

I would like to perform a test with MS MapPoint and GPS.
When I drive around, I would like to send the GPS-Co÷rdinates automatically to my desktop computer, so I can check them when I return.
I am thinking about sending the co÷rdinates with SMS, but how can I receive them.. I probably need a receiver for this..
But how can i put this information into mapPoint?
Has any of you done this before?

ok.. so do you want to have it connected to a laptop while you drive, or do you want a standalone receiver that you can download waypoints to your computer at a later time?

I don't want it connected to a laptop while driving nor want to download the waypoint later..
I would like to have it immediately send to my computer at home, with GPRS or something..

oh. i'm not sure how you'd do that. what you are asking for basically is a vehicular tracking system. so you'd need a gps in the car with some sort of link to your home, most likely it would be cellular.. and not very cheap.

I think Locarta will do this.. Also, there are some services like Digital Angel that were introduced in the last 6-10 mos. But like Larry said, not cheap.
