TIP: Creating A HyperLink Map to Find Polling Place

I want to share this map created with MapPoint that uses the Hyperlink feature to link to information on how to find polling places for all the states in the U.S. for the general election.

    (preview)

Go here to see the map - http://www.mp2kmag.com/images/articl...ling-place.htm

After clicking on the link above, you can click on the red dots to go to the state gov't web site or directory with instructions on determining your polling place.

If you're interested in creating the same map you can use this data:
    http://www.mp2kmag.com/images/articl...ling_place.txt

Also, if you would like detailed instructions on how to create this map, let me know and I can post them below.

    Hi Rahul and Kartik,

Start by download the text file above and import it into MapPoint 2004.. follow the dialogs. It's relatively straightforward and does not require code. Let me know if/where you get stuck.

    Pushpins 100 miles!

    Hi Eric
Its working ..thanks for the solution.
But I have one more doubt.
I want to locate pushpins from my datasource, but as per my understanding i will be able to locate within 100 miles limit, is this true?
In that case How should i display pushpins beyond 100 miles.
    Please suggest

    Thanks

    Rahul
