| Unable to open MapPoint 2004 Application was running fine till yesterday. Try to re-install MDAC 2.8 SP 1 but continue to have the same problems. Please advice. Thanks         |

Hi, Possible you have Microsoft automatic upgrades on ? Never do this because that's looking for trouble. Set it to warn and install yourself. Then if you have trouble you just rewind to the previous incremental backup. This beeing say is of course not an answer to fix the problem. The error is not very informative  Does mappoint.exe still run ? Is the ActiveX in IDE still available and can you compile a new project with it ?I'm somwhow out of idea at the moment.
