I just got my MapPoint 2004 and after installing, I notice that the us map is outdated... how can I update/download it ?

This is always going to be a problem with digital map databases and consumer products.. by the time they are in the customer's hands they are always outdated. In fact I would posit that even in the map builder's shop (e.g. Navteq) they never have a completely current database.

However, MP04 is especially dated right now as the data is from early '03? and the new version is coming out as Richard mentions, so you're in luck, at least with the new version it will be closer to current than what you have now.
